Community Boat Restoration Program for Women
Join Jaime Storkman, a dedicated board member of the Gig Harbor BoatShop and a highly skilled boat maintenance specialist, as he leads a group of women through various boat maintenance and repair tasks. Depending on the project you may learn how to refinish a boat or repair damaged structure, all while learning how to use various boatbuilding tools such as block planes, chisels, and hand power tools like drills and sanders.
If you're interested in exploring the world of boat maintenance and repair under the guidance of a program leader with decades of experience, we invite you to work in the cozy, wood-heated joiner shop at the historic Eddon Boatyard as part of the Gig Harbor BoatShop Community Boat Restoration Program. Our all-woman crew convenes on Wednesdays from 9 AM to Noon.
Wednesday’s Weekly.
